Dr. Ashleigh Young joined Texas Eye and Laser Center on July 7, 2025 specializing in Ocular Disease. Originally from Plano, Texas, Dr. Young is a graduate of the University of Houston College of Optometry.
Dr. Young earned awards for clinical excellence in primary care, and ocular disease rotations. She completed externships at Cedar Springs Eye Clinic in Dallas and Plano Eye Associates in Plano, TX.
Dr. Young earned her undergraduate degree from the University of Missouri – Columbia, MO, majoring in Biochemistry with a minor in nutrition. While at the university, she served as a residential advisor in the science dorm and held leadership roles as vice president of both the Pre-Optometry and Biochemistry Club.
In her leisure time, Dr. Young enjoys reading and participating in group fitness classes.
