Dr. Deborah Zanella joined Texas Eye and Laser Center on January 16, 2025. She is certified by the Texas Board of Optometry as a therapeutic optometrist and is certified as an optometric glaucoma specialist.
Dr. Zanella was born and raised in Larned, Kansas. She completed her Bachelor of Science degree at Kansas State University in 1999, and her Doctor of Optometry degree at the University of Missouri, St. Louis in 2003. She has been in practice for over 20 years and is experienced in managing glaucoma, dry eye and ocular pathology as well as systemic disease in both pre and post operative surgical medical conditions.
Dr. Zanella is married and has two teenagers who keep her busy. In her free time, she enjoys cooking, strength training, playing pickleball, and traveling to the beach with her family.
