LASIK is an investment in your vision that pays dividends for years to come. As you will find with most surgical procedures, the price you pay reflects your investment in the expertise of a highly skilled surgeon, their years of specialized experience, and access to the most advanced laser technology available.
At Texas Eye and Laser Center, we believe quality vision correction should never be compromised, which is why we’re committed to transparency in both our pricing and our approach to care.
LASIK Pricing at Texas Eye and Laser Center
At Texas Eye and Laser Center, LASIK costs range from $2,100 to $2,900 per eye.
The cost of your LASIK procedure depends on several personalized factors, including the level of vision correction you need, the complexity of treating your unique eyes, and the advanced technology required for your treatment.
During your free LASIK Evaluation, we’ll determine your exact pricing based on your individual needs.
What Factors Affect Your LASIK Cost?
The Level of Vision Correction You’ll Need
Your eyes are as unique as your fingerprint, which is why Texas Eye and Laser Center offers advanced Wavefront technology for custom LASIK. This sophisticated approach goes far beyond your basic prescription to address the specific characteristics of your vision.
Custom LASIK with Wavefront technology allows your surgeon to measure the entire eye and create a detailed three-dimensional map of your unique visual system. This comprehensive mapping captures irregularities and nuances that a standard prescription can’t detect. Using this precise information, the laser is guided to tailor the treatment specifically to each eye’s individual needs, delivering results that surpass what traditional LASIK can achieve.
While traditional LASIK effectively corrects common refractive errors like nearsightedness, farsightedness, and astigmatism, custom LASIK takes your treatment to the next level by addressing the complete visual profile of your eyes.
- The Complexity of Your Individual Treatment
No two eyes are exactly alike, and some require more complex treatment plans than others.
Factors such as corneal thickness, the severity of your refractive error, and any unique characteristics of your eye structure all play a role in determining the level of care your procedure will require.
At Texas Eye and Laser Center, our experienced surgeons carefully evaluate every aspect of your vision and eye health to create a customized treatment approach tailored specifically to you.
- Advanced Laser Technology and Surgeon Expertise
The quality of your LASIK results depends heavily on two critical factors: the precision of the laser technology and the skill of the surgeon performing your procedure.
At Texas Eye and Laser Center, we invest in only the most advanced, state-of-the-art laser systems available, and our surgeons bring years of specialized experience to every procedure they perform.
This combination of cutting-edge technology and surgical expertise is why LASIK pricing varies from patient to patient. When it comes to your vision, one-size-fits-all simply doesn’t exist, and neither should one price fit all.
- How Much Does LASIK Cost in Texas?
Throughout Texas, LASIK typically costs several thousand dollars per eye, with pricing that varies based on the provider, technology used, and comprehensiveness of care. At Texas Eye and Laser Center, our pricing reflects our commitment to using advanced Custom Wavefront technology and providing comprehensive care with experienced surgeons, not bargain equipment or rushed procedures.
The True Value of Quality LASIK
When you choose Texas Eye and Laser Center for LASIK, you’re receiving far more than just the procedure itself.
Your investment includes comprehensive pre-operative evaluations, the surgery performed by one of our experienced LASIK surgeons, and thorough post-operative care to ensure optimal healing and results. This complete continuum of care is something bargain eye care centers rarely provide.
At many discount providers, patients have little opportunity to meet or interact with the surgeon who will perform their procedure. Before choosing a LASIK provider, it’s essential to ask about the technology they use and verify the experience and qualifications of your surgeon. You’ll often find that these budget centers don’t offer Custom Wavefront LASIK as their standard of care, and there’s a reason their prices seem too good to be true.
If an advertisement promises bargain LASIK pricing, consider it a red flag. Your vision deserves better than a discount approach.
LASIK Eye Surgery Financing Options
At Texas Eye and Laser Center, we want LASIK to be affordable for our patients. Because LASIK is an elective procedure, it’s not typically covered by insurance. Some patients choose to save and pay for it using a Flexible Spending Account, Health Savings Accounts, a payment plan, or our CareCredit option.
Flexible Spending Accounts (FSAs)
Many employers offer Flexible Spending Accounts or “flex plans” that allow employees to deduct money from each paycheck to be deposited into an FSA. FSAs can be used for medical expenses that insurance doesn’t cover.
Money deposited into an FSA is not subject to federal or state income tax. Your human resources department or benefits manager can explain if your company has an FSA, your annual contribution limits, and what qualifies for reimbursement.
You can use your FSA funds to pay for vision correction while saving money that you would usually be taxed on. Since many FSA plans require the funds to be spent that year and don’t roll over any money into the following year, it’s important to plan accordingly and estimate your medical expenses, including LASIK surgery, when contributing to your FSA.
Some important information to keep in mind:
- An FSA allows you to contribute part of your regular earnings to pay for qualified medical expenses. The funds that go into your FSA are deducted from your paycheck before taxes, lowering your taxable income.
- Funds withdrawn from your FSA for medical expenses are not subject to taxes.
- The IRS limits how much you can contribute to an FSA per year.

Health Savings Accounts (HSAs)
Unlike FSAs, not everyone qualifies for a Health Savings Account. Your deductible must meet a certain level to qualify. The main difference between an HSA and an FSA is that the allowed annual contribution amount for an HSA is higher than for an FSA, and the money saved can be rolled over to the following year.
CareCredit
At Texas Eye and Laser Center, we are proud to offer our patients the option of using CareCredit, North America’s leading patient payment program. CareCredit is a credit card for medical procedures. With CareCredit®, you’ll be able to undergo LASIK right away.
You can pay off the procedure over time with low monthly payments that fit into your budget. CareCredit offers low monthly payment plans for healthcare procedures not commonly covered by insurance.
